Pros
Not much - job security used to be a pro. I hear there are companies out there with payroll problems - this company is 100% on time and correct every month. Benefits package is good. Resources good. People (below management) good. Salary average. HSE excellent, albeit sometimes well over the 'as reasonably practicable' line.
Cons
Everything else. Nobody performs their job role in this company. Every person is a headless chicken. Improvement projects always die a death, then re-surface years later, then die a death, and on and on the cycle continues... Morale is a problem. Logical thinking is another problem. All tasks come with several barriers. Serious changes required if company to remain successful (i.e. retaining some EXCELLENT employees). No career route upwards (although they pretend otherwise). A normal working day is extremely busy, hectic, and completely unproductive.
