Pros

People genuinely have a love for Christ and want use their faith as a force for good. Noble intentions to drive forward good development

Cons

Tearfund is run like a family business - with the same types of people in leadership from a similar social/cultural and economic background. As a 'Global' Christ-centred organisation, it should reflect the church in every creed, colour and background.

Pros

I worked at Tearfund Côte d’Ivoire for a year as an intern. It was a great place to work and the Christian atmosphere makes the work more meaningful

Cons

There were some long days, especially when preparing for programming

Pros

Meaningful benefits and good results delivered in the field. Caring culture Some incredible people working there who live the values.

Cons

Organisation is very process drive. Their processes dictate their initiatives. Regressive ways of operating and inefficient. Management staff lack experience, Act like nannies. Cross professional boundaries. Over engineer simple initiatives. Not open to other views. CEO not across what other teams are doing apart from the programme work. As a Christian organisation, has difficulty dealing with criticism and harder conversations. Tends to pay lip service to issues and as a result, good people leave.
