Pros

Gained valuable experience in React Native, adding new skills to my resume. Opportunity to meet and learn from talented people. Growth potential: you'll have the chance to interview developers and take on tasks outside your scope. Immediate responsibility due to the lack of senior developers, which can be a pro if you're looking to grow quickly.

Cons

Equity is tied to deliverables, so your shares may be reduced for non-core tasks like research. Communication can be inconsistent, leading to confusion. No senior developer support; there was one initially, but they left or were let go. You may feel pressured to work full-time, though it's not required—ensure you log your hours carefully. Promised shares might not be granted. The company is not yet funded.

Pros

*I've met great coworkers *It gave me experience to talk about in other job interviews *This was something to add to my resume during the downturn of the job market

Cons

*It feels deeply exploitative with the absence of monetary compensation, instead only offering equity that likely holds little promise for the future. It appears the CEO is capitalizing on the challenging job market to attract talent struggling to secure positions in the tech industry. At its height of development, the team comprised 12 individuals, including engineers, designers, testers, and marketers. Yet, of the original 12, only 2 remain today. This perpetuates an unsettling cycle where disillusioned talent is quickly replaced by new hires. *CEO lacks effective management skills. He appears to be confused regarding project priorities. Instead of focusing on enhancing the core functionality of the application, we frequently receive trivial and insignificant tasks. Additionally, the CEO lacks the technical proficiency required to oversee this application effectively. *Communication with the CEO is extremely poor. Access privileges can be revoked abruptly, even for top contributors, without prior discussion. *CEO is not transparent regarding the process of funding and investor meetings. It gives the impression that he is withholding information to encourage us to keep working. *As someone familiar with the inner workings of this application, I have doubts about the company's future profitability. The current functionality lacks any distinct features that could distinguish it from competitors and attract significant business.
