Pros

-Flexible monthly work schedule -Camaraderie amongst shift managers and coworkers (at my location) -Excellent opportunity to learn Mandarin Chinese -Excellent entry-level position for those who have trouble finding a first job to gain work experience

Cons

-Minimum wage starting salary, and low pay for part-time and full-time workers of 2+ years -Poor benefits for both waitstaff, barstaff, and even managers -Disconnect with upper management -Does not pay for overtime unless you ask for it -No holiday/weekend bonuses, and open 365 days a year. -Lack of a more established or organized SOP for training new members of waitstaff. -No employee handbook available to address various questions employees may have; company policy usually word-of-mouth from what managers hear, or via bulletins from HQ typed in Chinese which need translations from someone who can read.
