Pros

It's a foot in the door for general IT. Pay is decent now, low for industry though.

Cons

Management is ok, depending. The new rules and metrics put on you by people who don't understand the job are ridiculous. Seems they put hybrid work from home on the line by metrics that are out of your hand. For instance reviews on your cases. A 1 star will disqualify you if you don't receive several 5 stars. This is all dependent on the customer. And if they are aggravated at Microsoft, you get the 1 star. The verbatim may state this specifically but doesn't matter. Get your foot in and get out best advice.

We do apologize for the experience you've had with performance metrics - please ensure to speak to your direct manager regarding how tips & tricks that you may be able to implement to ensure your customer surveys more accurately reflect the service you give rather than the customers' feelings on Microsoft products.

Pros

The paychecks don't bounce, at least as far as I experienced. You'll never ever have time to be bored, if you could call it that.

Cons

Completely toxic work environment, through and through. Ignores requests for Disability accomodations, uses the information gleaned from that process to institute write-ups. PIPs are their favorite tool ever, beside death from overwork.
