Pros

Remote work with some good colleagues

Cons

Massively egotistical and inept leader who creates a hostile work culture and destroys morale. During my time with the company, I saw employees regularly abused and underpaid. Over the past few months, both the COO and the Director of Marketing quit very suddenly. Staff is regularly short-changed on pay with little justification. The company leader is obsessed with AI at the expense of a premium product guided by actual people with expertise. He has little regard for anything but blind loyalty, which has led to toxic and abusive employee interactions. He also seems to take pleasure in controlling others and making them unhappy. Employees are incredibly resentful right now, spending less time producing quality work and more time figuring out how to keep him from getting vicious and angry.

Pros

Opportunities to learn through chaos

Cons

The company suffers from a severe lack of leadership, with direction changing constantly based on impulse rather than any coherent strategy. Priorities are frequently reversed with little explanation, creating confusion and making it nearly impossible to execute meaningful work. Communication from the CEO is inconsistent and, at times, unprofessional, contributing to a culture of instability and low trust. There are also serious concerns regarding management practices, including abrupt compensation changes without prior notice, terminations, and the use of pressure or intimidation in situations where transparency and professionalism would be expected. Instead of fostering genuine engagement, leadership appears to rely on control rather than trust, resulting in a workplace where employees often feel insecure and undervalued.
