      Good scientists, nice people, good salaries, benefits, etc.

      Cons

      Management didn't know how to run a pharma company- they came out of Big Tobacco and retained that mentality. HR department wielded far too much power.

      Pros

      The culture and the people are wonderful. Focus has always been the accomplishment of strategic goals and rewarding the effort.

      Cons

      In a science-based industry, individuals who are scientific experts and leaders are not necessarily meant to be placed in management roles. The skill set is very different, and ineffective managers create many personnel issues.
