They give legal value to internal policies that have no basis and would have no weight in a court of law in order to deny leaving employees what is due. I have left almost a year ago and I haven’t been paid 10 days of holidays accrued. They simply discriminated me and applied a sanction for something a lot of people in the company did due to blurry policies. However I was the only person being penalised for it. They kept me enrolled in the pension scheme against my will (which is illegal) and completely refused to assist in working toward getting me my refund. Some people can snap their fingers and the entire company do what they ask. However when it comes to fixing issues they created at the expense of low importance employees, you have to spend days and nights sending emails and telling them to do their jobs. I had to send in a resignation letter for them to acknowledge me. You’ll be told there is no budget for growth when the already well off are having fun on a catamaran on on of their numerous yearly retreats. They play with peoples mental health until they they break down and when they decide to leave the company refuses to give you what is due.
