The front line employees are the most valuable people that run the company and they should be treated as such, without the from line employees in transit, management is useless and waste of city’s budget

The Costumer Service Agents (CSA) are treated like punching bag by costumers and the higher management. Technically the CSAs are the orphans or the liability of the company. It’s absolutely absurd the treatment that CSAs get from the management. Csa have to ask when to go to washroom, when to seat when and get 5 minutes break from the cold in the station and the hazardous air in the station coming from the train breaks. If you travel with subway and you see a dark haze in the air that all dust from the trains breaking, and the CSAs inhale this polluted air for 8 hours every day. The ministry of transportation and environment doesn’t see this as and health issue, nor does the Union really care about the health of their members Just recently TTC realized that they hired way too many managers, then they demoted some of them back to Assistant Manager, but nevertheless we still have too many “chiefs” and not enough proper managers that really care for the company, employees and the reliability of the transit In last few years the new leaders of TTC are changing the core of the company and lost the edge on how to properly manage the TRANSIT fleets according to the company’s nature. Just recently, we heard the news that there is possibility that the booths in the station will be removed and that’s the CSAs work place and safety shelter. Hopefully one day TTC will hire someone with open mind and adequate training, knowledge and education on how the transit runs
