Federal benefits, mix of colleagues from various backgrounds and experiences that are dedicated to the same mission, good opportunity to grow within the organization and ultimately within the government.
Cons
There's been one too many leaders quietly ousted (and often just relocated) for unprofessional or even suspected criminal conduct. Need to make sure you fight for positions that have a chain of leadership that empowers you and allows for growth. Mission creep.
