Pros
Because you are all in the same bad environment, you create a particular bond with your colleagues. I can tell you that you are making friends for life working at this company! If you like working in Immigration, that is a very interesting job.
Cons
-You will not receive a training when arriving in the company. They do not train you and expect you to know everything very quickly. When there is a mistake, they will blame you telling you that they told you. They will then remove money from your monthly bonus in order to cover the mistakes. They will not teach you how to not make the mistake anymore which does not make you progress. -You will need to examine your payslips very carefully as there is often mistakes (of course minus, never bonus) and fight to recover your money. -You will need to deal with managers that are not a good example to follow as they are talking very badly to the customers themselves. The managers are incompetents and when there is an unhappy customer, they ask you to go see him because they are afraid of facing a very angry customer (they are hiding themselves pretending they are busy but they are actually scared). -You will do overtime without being paid. They will make pressure on you, telling you you need to stay after work (the weakest will stay) but it is nothing legal. However, they have recently introduced a system where they will pay you if you stay a certain number of times in a month (which is good but record your hours as they sometimes forget to count them). -You will need to accept a low salary at the end of the month. You will be working very hard for not much money and the reg. manager will even dare telling you that he thinks you are paid too much (mimimum wage, WTF). -You will need to deal with many incoherences from the management. They will ask you to limit interactions with customers in order to save time (more money for the company), they will even tell you not to speak with the customer to save maximum time possible. Then, you will receive customer service training from the same manager who will tell you that you need to speak to the customer in order to explain him all the process etc. (you will go mental in this company). -You will be spied on by some of your managers. I do not know why they are acting like this but I always felt like a 10 y-o in a playground. One team leader in particular is always coming to you asking you ''What do you do?''. You want to tell her that what you are doing is so obvious that she does not need to ask you such a stupid question. I do not know what they are afraid of, we are just doing our job. She will even request to have a look at the security cameras to know how long your break was and where you were. -You will be asked to rip off customers by proposing them a ridiculous premium service. -You will be asked to do tasks that you do not feel comfortable with. -You will not be treated as equal with other member of staff. Indeed, something I have never understood: not everyone will do the same tasks within the company. Be lazy or they will ask you a lot (especially if they see that you are a willing person). They take advantage of you. The less effort you do, the better it is in reality (company does not encourage hard working people at all).
