Pros

. Direct team management was good, listened to feedback, were helpful and had frequent updates for the relevant teams . Tessco had a flexible work from home policy, though this appears to be being altered in some ways, and it is unclear if they WFH will remain viable in the future with this company

Cons

. Very often there was a disparity in workload across the team I was involved with, where some would do SIGNIFICANTLY less work than others - Leadership had analytics to draw from and could clearly see this, but no action was ever taken that resulted in the problem being fixed . After receiving a good yearly performance review and having assurances from leadership /CEO that there was no need to worry about Tessco's recent merger, they proceeded to (with no warning) fire me and a large portion of their staff, with no notices being given before simply having a random meeting with your organization leader scheduled, where the news was given that you no longer work for the company . Training is abysmal, essentially you are dropped into your relevant position with barely an idea of what you are to be doing and told "to reach out if you have questions" . Management takes excessive vacations - Teams were often left without a leader for Week/Weeks because their leader had left on vacation . Unclear team expectations - Extremely big issue when starting out, but as well as later into my tenure with the company. The expectations of what you and your team were required to do, especially on an individual level were not laid out adequately . Stressful work environment - Very often, people from the company (predominantly sales related roles) would pressure you into rushing through work or taking on more work than you could handle, in order for them to get credit for some large sale/project. Very often the sales related roles were the only teams in the company which were ever given any accolades/shoutouts during company wide meetings, all other teams felt like an after thought

Pros

The people, most middle management, support teams

Cons

Upper management, over the top expectations, multiple layoffs over the past few years (only to hire again later, only to layoff again), sold their manufacturer Ventev for a quick win for Private Equity then had to deal with lower sales later, only to put the pressure of their sale on the reps to recover lost revenue. Continues to remind all the employees that its just a matter of time they are going to sell the company or merge it.
