Fully remote but doesn't seem like a place for long-term growth - Writer TELUS Digital Employee Review

Pros

The role is completely remote within the U.S. so you can work from any state. After some time in the role, you can transition into having more flexible hours as long as you do the work. The company also allows you to work remotely abroad for no more than 30 working days. The team is friendly and collaborative. Sometimes, there are opportunities to do overtime and make more money. Also, the company offers matching contributions up to 5% for your 401k plan as well as the option of health/dental benefits.

Cons

The work gets monotonous because it's primarily with one client, though there are occasionally side projects to do. The pay is low for the level of skill and experience among team members, considering that many of them seem overqualified. There also doesn't seem to be much room for growth unless you look elsewhere within the company, but for a remote role, it's challenging to have visibility and network with people in other departments/teams. Additionally, you accrue PTO in increments as you work rather than having a set number of days when you start, so it takes forever to earn enough PTO hours to take a real vacation. This PTO policy is very unusual to me because I've never experienced it at other companies I have worked for.

Pros

Company culture is very relaxed and laid back. The people who work here build some of the best products for the biggest clients in the world. Bar-none, I’ve never worked with more intelligent and passionate people ever. There is pride in efficiency, quality, and so much more.

Cons

Management is very… out of touch? Not at their own fault to be clear, but out of business processes. It’s difficult for them to grow and promote employees because they’re constantly shifted from one team to the next. The pay is “Meh” at best, and nowhere near the industry standard, but it is safe.
