Sales trump customer service experience - Customer Service Representative TD Employee Review

Pros

Work is mostly dealing with customers, sit down job, computer programs are relatively easy to learn, you get to talk with customers about how good Commerce Bank was in comparison.

Cons

Promotion is only offered through meeting sales requirements, sales requirements always increase even if target is missed by the store that quarter. Even if customers come in with a hard luck story, management still presses employees to sell to that customer some product (even ones unrelated to the customer's problem). Management seems to be pressured to keep employees schedules filled (was asked to reschedule a doctors appointment by Asst Manager) or just don't allow employees to have a healthy work/life balance. Pay is lower than other bank companies for similar positions that have less job requirements than TD Bank positions.
