Pros

- Job stability - Mostly pleasant co-workers - Positive culture of diversity, acceptance and inclusion. - Most retail managers I've encountered are nice to work for.

Cons

- Non-existent training - Extremely shortsighted management. Focused 100% on metrics and quantitative management. Nitpicking numbers has lead to compete micromanagement at every level. Everything at TD is about their bottom line. - A constant feeling that senior, executive management is completely incompetent. - Organization-wide, technology that is awkward and ineffective. - Uncompetitive products. - Almost no support for employee development. - Many unknowledgeable employees and middle management who drink way too much green Kool-Aid. No one seems to have any idea that other institutions do things as well or better. Now that I see how TD operates, I will be moving all of my financial business elsewhere. - Entire organization is set up so that people who are supposed to provide advice, are so busy chasing adminstrative tasks that they have zero time to provide real advice. Advisors are basically admin assistants, lost in a never-ending battle with compliance and an administrative black hole.
