In some of the projects I have worked on, I found the work environment to be quite challenging. Unfortunately, the level of support from management was often lacking, and there was limited recognition for the efforts put into the work, even when extended hours were required. Moreover, minor mistakes were met with disproportionate criticism, creating a stressful atmosphere.
During my time working on three different projects, I observed that the culture in one of my previous projects was particularly toxic, marked by office politics and favoritism. Managers tended to give more weight to the opinions of a few preferred employees, which often led to biased evaluations and lower performance ratings, regardless of the actual contributions made. This disparity ultimately impacted the increment and appraisal process, which felt unfair and demotivating.
