They work you insanely hard and are constantly watching the clock to make sure you keep churning out calls, You are expected to be through security and logged on to your computer to take calls before you shifts starts, they call any downtime "time theft". The call center has grown increasingly understaffed leading to longer hold times and angrier customers, who take longer to get off the phone because of their anger, thus perpetuating the cycle. Team leads will pick favorites, my old team lead made a point to skip over my team member development meetings entirely but bent over backwards for others. I made it known I was unhappy in the call center for a long time, but still stuck it out for the required year before trying to move to a department I would be better suited for. Not only was I never given the lateral transfer I repeatedly requested, but one of my teammates was given this transfer before his year wait had expired.
My wife worked in another department, she worked hard and was very good at what she did. It led only to them giving her increased work loads and more complex problems with zero pay increase. Her department was required to work Sundays, as well as work late on weekdays ("until the work's done", but work was never done). My department consistently had 10 hours of OT a week, thankfully paid OT, but that just meant more time being screamed at by irate plan participants. My wife tried to take time off to visit her friend in another state whos mother was dying of cancer, TRP repeatedly refused her time off requests AND refused to let her work remotely. All of the work in both departments could be done remotely, yet the company refused to allow WFH until the midst of the pandemic, and even then used incredibly out of date methods (working on my own home machine to remotely connect to my desktop computer at the office!) and constantly spoke of getting everyone back to the office.
Like many other corporations, TRP will talk a big game of family and work life balance and how their "mission" justifies their existence, and then they will abuse their employees until they leave before their employer 401k contributions are vested. Stay away, it is absolutely not worth it.
