Horrible place to work because of owner - Recruiter Systems Personnel Employee Review

Systems Personnel is one of the top Staffing Agencies in Western New York with a great reputation and over 20 years of experience. Basically, we help companies find great employees they can't find on their own & we help people get in front of new opportunities they likely wouldn't have access to without us. This is a mission driven company with an experienced staff, all truly dialed in and committed to the mission (Improving Lives Through Employment). Although a challenge, I love the work I am doing. When I go to sleep at night, I know I'm doing something worthwhile, that I'm making a difference in people’s lives, and I’m making over $100k/yr. doing it.

This is a challenging, fast paced job and is not for everyone. Companies hire us because we actively go out, find, and contact people who are not necessarily in the job market. This is a true "headhunting" type role. That involves a lot of researching, digging, cold calling, emailing, texting, and talking to/meeting with high volumes of people per week. There is a lot of sweat equity that must be put in, you have to be thick skinned, take rejection well, and be self-motivated with strong work ethic. This is not a 40/hr per week job. At the end of the day, this is a sales role and you will get out of it what you put in. It is extremely rewarding intrinsically and can be very very lucrative if you are willing to put the effort and hours in.

Systems Personnel is an incredible place to work. I swear it gives you a greater education than college. The amount of skills and knowledge you gain after working there just for a short time is amazing. Their culture is friendly, cooperative, and extremely transparent. You never feel scared having a concern or problem because everyone is there to help you. It is more than just a team, it becomes a family. Their mission of "improving lives" is embedded in everyday operations, and as employee you can really make a difference in other people's lives. The management is very supportive, and will be flexible to help you meet your goals and aspirations. They harp on having a good work-life balance which is vital. This company has a very proactive culture, you have freedom to innovate and experiment. Overall, just a wonderful atmosphere to work, not to mention the potential to make a very good income. Everything I learned from my time working there I use every single day.

Systems Personnel doesn't have many cons. Their negatives have to do with the industry of recruiting. It's a fast paced environment that requires good people skills. It can be stressful, and requires strong management. It is definitely not for everyone, but they do a great job at easing these cons. They make it clear from day one to help with any problems you may be struggling with.
