Pros
Great product (sells itself but not a mission critical product) and great people. And “feels” like the company is healthy. 2 stars for two things. The product is cool and most of the people are great.
Cons
Leadership (most) but not all negates all the positives. Everything that leadership requests or comes out of their mouth is contradiction. The product is strong but really isnt mission critical. Crazy high price tag for ultimately a mid-market platform. Strategic/enterprise long sales cycles with a mid-market platform and enterprise price tag. It doesn't add up. Tread very lightly and bite your tongue more often than not. Leadership does not like feedback because they dont like or believe they are ever wrong. Most of the GTM leadership doesnt even have 5 years of sales experience under their belt. For a Series D org, the GTM leadership is extremely poor and never been apart of building this motion properly at this stage of a company and dont want to listen to anyone but themselves. Tread lightly as well because sales leadership will micromanage you into the ground, question the quality of your work but then take credit for your work. When you ask for feedback or actual direction or data to back their reasoning they have none, and its not constructive, its more along the along the lines of actual verbal abuse. Feedback only flows down, never up. Zero 360 feedback. For the company “feeling” healthy, be prepared for everything to feel like a fire drill even if it has no benefit to doing your job effectively. Our jobs are always on the chopping block. Be quiet and get in line is what they’re looking for. For example, they marched a successful sales rep out on the stage at SKO and celebrated them with the rep’s client and then fired them a week later for no cause except that he was closing revenue “not their way”. Not all managers/leaders are bad. Just do your diligence.
