Pros
Everyone I've had the pleasure of working with is very nice and helpful. Just good people! The benefits are very good with unlimited vacation for salaried roles. Focus on continuous improvement, growth, and development. Mission-driven purpose to solve a critical problem in the world, feeding the world's growing population. Flexible work schedule. Autonomy to make decisions and take on projects to grow. A practical approach to DEI. Embracing technology to try to keep up with the times; mostly successful as an org. Mistakes are welcome; not expected to be perfect, as long as you learn from it.
Cons
The company structure is bizarre with Seeds and Crop Protection being separated. Sure, it's easier to track performance financially, but it's siloed, confusing, and complicated/challenging to make even simple changes companywide. I don't know who the decision-maker is or to provide feedback for many things. In my opinion, it is not efficient nor effective for resource sharing, leadership alignment/communication, and collaboration. There is evidence of some bad decisions and poorly implemented systems/programs that were not well thought out. Fixable, but causing issues/inefficiencies daily and I won't hold my breath.
