Pros

Crazy work but crazy exposure to blue chip clients. I really found it refreshing that there was so much learning. Great team and learning on the job but it's real and authentic from an actual expert, unlike my previous company with so-called ESG experts. They have been around for more than 10 years.

Cons

Crazy hours and it's based on clients time

Pros

- Bright co-workers who are genuinely interested in meeting the client's sustainability targets - A passionate and enthusiastic leader - Takes health and safety seriously in light of the COVID-19 pandemic - A good place to be introduced to sustainability reporting and its standards. - Good opportunity to network through meeting clients - You don't need to have a degree in sustainability/environment to work here. Interest and willingness to learn is good enough.

Cons

- For a company that assess how clients are encouraging an engaged workforce, this company is the exact opposite. - Poor communication between upper management and employees. - Poor management - High turnover rate (already shows that its not as great as it seems) - Poor new recruits induction or introduction. Left in the dark in the first couple of weeks (not great for lockdown) - Lack in employee training and no KPIs in place (you get thrown into projects with high profile clients where you're expected to produce work on things you haven't been trained for) - Expects you to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays a lot of the time under the excuse of client deadlines. Says that their employees do this because they "love" and are "very dedicated" to their work. - Very disconnected for such a small company. Dragged into projects to be analyst or main analyst without approaching the employee first about their availability (not even a short briefing). Employees only interact within their project bubble when necessary - no one really knows what's going on out of their project. - Recently went through a merger with the MORS Group but nothing has been put in place for reorganisation and a smooth transition. Still acts as though Synergio and MORS Group are separate companies. - Employees left in the dark and will be told thing at the very last minute.
