Pros

Flexibility/WFH, Holiday Shutdown between Christmas and New Years, Salary was good

Cons

Health insurance expensive. Onsite cafeteria quality and customer service rapidly went downhill during my time there. Workload insane and heavy. It was common to start Sunday to get on top of the week before things piled up even more. Early meetings, late meetings, all day meetings! After hours was when you were able to do your other actual work which means NO work life balance. No respect as a Lead like other functional areas (Data Management, Safety, etc...), yet twice the workload. The TMF department was despised by the internal teams and the company. Part of this is bc TMF can be rigorous and time consuming but a big part of that is due to ineffective and vague processes decided by "Leadership". Don't point this out though, you will be labeled as a "complainer" even though you see where the issue lies and offer solutions. The ideal TMF Lead for them is taking the lumps from everyone and not saying a word. Someone martyr like. These are just my observations. If this sounds like a fit for you- go right ahead and apply!

Pros

You are never bored due to constant work

Cons

Lab is run horribly. Sample Management never sees promotions. Starting salary is good and then you’re trapped in quicksand. I was graded as the highest possible rating for my merit increase and got a $0.26 hourly increase. The company doesn’t care about everyone working on the back end of studies.
