      Pros

      Depending on the line manager, life/work balance can be OK.

      Cons

      Most middle management is outsourced to eastern european countries, making communication difficult and impersonal. Upper management use classic business mumbo jumbo to calm employee complaints without doing anything to solve our issues. Extremely impractical and unreasonable requests from project teams.

      Bonus unstable for number of year. Not significant opportunity to move up.

      You are never bored due to constant work

      Cons

      Lab is run horribly. Sample Management never sees promotions. Starting salary is good and then you’re trapped in quicksand. I was graded as the highest possible rating for my merit increase and got a $0.26 hourly increase. The company doesn’t care about everyone working on the back end of studies.
