Pros

Only pro -fully remote company

Cons

Greedy, Low integrity company with a CEO that pushes this mindset on customers and employees. A SaaS product that is not stable and never will be due to the self-taught software developer CEO of the company. You are expected to treat the customers horribly. High employee turnover. Software developers beware-you will be used and abused here! Stay clear of the promises made during the job interview process as they are all lies.

Pros

- 100% remote. Some may see this as a con; however, I treat this as a pro. - Small team of collaborative, smart, easy-to-get along with professionals. - Product is generally very solid with few competitors, solving a real problem. - Startup environment with opportunities for self-starters and generalists to shine as new problems present themselves, whether internally or externally (customer-facing).

Cons

- Many employees are siloed, with no comprehensive plan to effectively combat this. - Lack of professional development and career advancement opportunities. - Leadership makes decisions in a reactionary, ad hoc, knee-jerk and often arbitrary way, leading to inconsistent outcomes. - Lack of alignment among teams. With no north star to follow, teams are generally not moving in the same direction with different priorities. - Lack of consistent goal setting, project management, and measurement of business activities.

Pros

Remote (not worth it despite that)

Cons

Job listing described unlimited PTO and 401k, neither of those things were true, so off to a great start. Very minimal training before they throw you into a fire, but then also your job description changes at a whim based on the mood of the CEO. Policies change on a day-to-day basis, so you can do exactly what you are told and that will somehow be wrong. CEO encourages and actively asks that you treat your customers poorly. He will also not hesitate to cut someone at a moment's notice, so if you just got an offer and are reading reviews in anticipation of getting hired, I recommend that you take the offer and look another job ASAP, because it is not worth it. Another word of warning, you will be micro-managed to hell and back, and not just by the CEO. Your best bet? Push back and look elsewhere.
