Pros

The engineers and developers are nice and talented coworkers. There is flexible times and work from home up to some extent.

Cons

Bad company culture. The previous engineering management was not the best. But the new management is not better technically, and they are MEAN PEOPLE that don't care about their team. Despite repeating "our people come first". If there is a dispute with the PMs, engineering leadership blames the engineers, and PM leadership supports the PMs. Thus, engineers get blamed two times, and supported none. No matter how experienced the engineers are, and how inexperienced the PMs are. Same happens with other teams, like SRE. Every team seems to have a supportive leadership except the engineering team. PMs are inexperienced and ineffective. They fail to manage teams and projects. It's something they should do, as their name states: Project Manager. This causes bad relationships in the teams and poor project results. Somehow, they are not blamed for it, but engineers and tech leads are. Also, they are full of ego and don't let others apply changes to improve the results. Despite finding it reasonable and having agreed to it in meetings. Engineers have been demanding closer work with SRE from the beginning to make their work less troubled. This is still a pending issue. The CEO seems to do a good job related to business. But it's also his responsibility to ensure a proper working environment and product quality. And this is a big failure. Products are low quality. They have ERRORS IN A CONSTANT BASIS. Engineers demand resources and attention, but leadership, PMs, and the company fail to provide it. Yet they get away with it. Something that I personally find illogical, is seeing everyone say how important clients are and that we must provide the best quality for them, while blocking initiatives and methodologies for it. No matter if they come from experienced engineers. If the company manages to attract engineering talent, it's because the image of being a blockchain company. It's a common feeling in the engineering team the disappointment that they do boring banking apps instead of the promised blockchain stuff. Company culture and working environment are more related to a TRADITIONAL BANK rather than a startup or tech company. Upsetting, unmotivating, and especially disappointing.

Pros

Flexible home office some remote work as well great colleagues that will help you when you ask for it average technology stack

Cons

Lower end compensation Buggy systems with a lot of overhead and friction and lack of vision to fix it Lack of clarity in goals setting process and promotions More reactive approach from management than innovation and forward thinking. Management seems detached from what is actually the quality of services Doesn't look like a fintech, rather more like an average Swiss bank
