Pros

The company values its tenured employees but treats young professionals with less than 2 years of experience like garbage

Cons

Swoon takes advantage of professionals who are new to recruiting or are fresh out of college. You don’t make commission your first 6 months and are expected to out perform recruiters with 7+years of experience. The company uses you to make a profit then will find a way to fire you if you can’t out-perform 75% of the company by your 6-month mark. There’s a high turn around for a reason. Not only do a lot of people in their first 6 months, they fire a lot of people too (I think they accidentally over-hired and need to cut their losses). I left Swoon & while I was I interviewing for other staffing agencies, the hiring managers laughed at Swoon’s commission structure and how they mistreat new employees. Now I’m making a base of $65,000/yr ($15k higher than swoon’s NDC Entry-Level program) plus higher commission percentages from DAY ONE. That being said, if you’re a recruiter with over 3 years of experience, swoon will pay you an admirable rate and will treat you with respect. Still will be toxic at times, though.

Pros

I have a contracted job at a big company that values me. Not Swoon.

Cons

Low pay. No paid holidays. 5 days to use as vacation or sick time. No communication to see how things are going at the company I work at. The company I work at authorizes a pay raise and Swoon takes more of the raise than they give to me. Health insurance offered does not cover anything major that may happen.
