Pros
1. Every person on the team is fun/easy to work with. There is a strong sense of community but it doesn't feel like a cult. 2. Management is great, open to feedback, and focused on individual development. 3. We get to have a lot of input into decisions in our departments and company-wide. There is an opportunity for everybody on the team to lead efforts/initiatives. 4. The company is doing really well right now and growing a lot. 5. The team is really open to discussing ideas and being comfortable even when there is disagreement. 6. The founders incorporate a meaningful amount of company equity into compensation which contributes to a feeling of collective ownership. 7. Other perks: Dogs in the office most weeks. Team retreats, dinners, and events. Work from home days. Beer on Friday afternoons. Snacks in the office. Easy Commute (on the Red line).
Cons
1. We are growing so there are some normal "growing pains". We are still establishing processes but each team member gets to have input. 2. There is an expectation to work hard but it is not unreasonable. 3. The office could use an upgrade to make it feel more like a startup office (ping pong tables, etc.) but we have some team members working on it.
