Pros
You work when the doctors work, obviously, but you get some time off when the doctors go on vacation. IF and ONLY IF you work with great people that have worked out a call schedule with a nice rotation then you can figure out your days off. The pay is nice (I will discuss more in the Cons, though) Decent benefits and reimbursements for gas and they pay for lodging if a traveler.
Cons
You sometimes work long hours and often depending on what cases you do. Not everyone gets paid the same. Lead Techs and Managers get paid more, that's a given. But new trainees get paid based on "location" or really it seems whatever they want to pay you. You have to ask a lot of questions to get an answer on something. Everything is up in the air with trying to get something done. Nothing is ever promised and shady at times. These problems I had were with my manager and may not be the same for you.
