Pros
Some of my colleagues (the ones that stay) are outstanding. They try to put a positive spin on things so new starters don't leave within a month. They must be commended for trying to keep a happy unified team going. I imagine the turnover would be even higher than what it currently is without them.
Cons
Where to even begin? The manager who hired me is no longer there, he went off due to stress as he could no longer handle the made up unrealistic targets given to him for the team to hit. The current manager hasn't taken the time to know her team, and get a clue as to what's going on. The insane turnover under her "leadership" is incredible, the team went from people doing a year minimum to now barely sticking around beyond 6 months! This is during covid, when jobs are hard to come by, good sales people were leaving rather than sticking round under bad leadership . Unfortunately team morale has never been so low since I've worked for this company. You're not allowed to build bonds with your fellow colleagues, they seem to think a 2 minute chat is going to crush the bottom line. Then complain that there is no buzz amongst the team!! I'm a loud character with a strong voice and I get told to be quiet on a regular basis! I was told it was a sales job surely generating energy is good for a sales team!?
