Pros

Summit Learning is an innovative company that respects the abilities of it's employees. The company policy of Kaizen (continuous improvement) is implemented and taken seriously at all times. Employees are encouraged to come forward with ways of making their campus, teaching, career more effective and efficient. Praise is offered to anyone who goes above and beyond. Upper management works tirelessly to ensure that all campuses have everything that they need. Bonus structure is a great addition to salaries, employees that work hard and show positive results in enrollment are compensated well. Ability to go to work everyday and know that you are making a difference is worth more than money can buy.

Cons

Currently focused on restructuring programs and course offerings which leads to a lot of communication from management. However management is always available to answer questions or concerns

Pros

As a recent University Graduate from McMaster University, I was extremely happy to have received an offer of employment from Summit College. Summit College helped me learn more about office administration and student admissions, human resources roles (including, recruiting, hiring, training, screening, and so on). I am very thankful for my time at Summit as I learned a lot and the experience lead me to a new career at McMaster University. Since Summit was taken over by new management in 2015 the company has significantly improved. The company has been working on re-branding as well as re-establishing as an educational institution. Prior to the change in management, the company was not a good place to work. The new management and GM that took over had a big focus on personal and professional development of employees and valued lifelong learning. Overall, Summit is a really good place to work if you are just starting out in your career. The pay is fairly decent for someone fresh out of University or College and it is a solid, small, team environment to be a part of.

Cons

When enrollment isn't extremely demanding or hiring new employees is not a huge priority, there can be a lack of jobs to complete. For the most part, management is good at assigning special projects during slow weeks but there were times where I felt that I wasn't being challenged.
