Pros

Management, traders and support staff bend over backwards to help their reps grow and progress. Trading desk works extremely hard for the reps.

Cons

Definitely a platform for self-starters/ entrepreneurs and not for those who need coddling.

Pros

For the most part management is decent. No micro managing. If you happen to be on the wrong side of error, no one is going to beat you up about it if it's an honest mistake. Their open door policy gets high marks. To some extent the company does seem to care about it's employees.

Cons

Everything is done on a shoestring. Summit gives you an empty 16 oz glass and a pitcher filled with 32 oz of water and expects you to pour all 32 ounces into the cup without spilling anything. Not enough resources to effectively do your job. In some positions staying in touch when taking a day off or on vacation is the norm. To much reaction. Not enough proactive. Sometimes you get the feeling that management's attitude is "be happy you have a job".
