Pros
Working Remotely was probably the only perk
Cons
The company gives the illusion that they are supportive of DEI but once you are there you start to see it's just a facade. Favoritism goes a long way here. The company is owned by siblings. They do not have an HR department in place. Low pay. I didn't have sick time when I first started. Then all of a sudden in my employee portal I noticed Sick Time popped up in my portal towards the last 6 months or so when I was employed there. Nothing was explained or communicated that it was even there. Initially when I first started and asked my direct boss, I was told they didn't have sick time. At first I thought he was joking but he was serious. The job description said one thing when I applied but I received the bare minimum. I never had the normal 6 months/ annual performance review during the entire time I was there. I thought I agreed to work for a fair, progressive company but what I received was a company that misrepresented themselves. Lacks true diversity. People of color and people over 40. Two employees are over 40. One of them is in their 50's. Everyone else is in their early 30's, early 20's, late 20's. No employees are of color. The company website was outdated most of the time I was employed there. The team photo was taken in 2021.
