Pros
The leadership really cares about the employees. Each month an employee has the ability and is encouraged to take a mental health day. Employees are always asking about your family and how you are doing. From a business standpoint, I think we are different from the competition and it shows in our corporate culture. Our customers see us as a partner, resource, and advisor not just a vendor. You will hear it all the time when you speak with them. Best career decision I have made.
Cons
If you arent looking for the small business, close-knit team, or start-up mentality then this is not for you. If you are looking for the big corporate monster, then this isn't for you.
Pros
There are none to be found.
Cons
As an experienced professional in the IT industry, I approached my tenure at SugarShot with cautious optimism. I can confidently assert that my experience fell far short of expectations. Culture and Environment: The company culture at SugarShot is toxic at best. From the top-down, there's a palpable sense of disorganization and disengagement. Colleagues engage in backstabbing and gossip, eroding trust and making collaboration nearly impossible. Morale is consistently low, with a pervasive feeling of dissatisfaction lingering in the air. Work-Life Balance: Forget about achieving any semblance of work-life balance here. Expectations are unrealistic, with management showing little regard for employees' personal time. Overtime is not just encouraged but practically mandatory, leading to burnout and resentment among staff. Career Growth Opportunities: If you're hoping to advance your career or develop new skills, you're better off looking elsewhere. SugarShot lacks any meaningful support for professional development, leaving employees feeling stagnant and unfulfilled in their roles. Compensation and Benefits: Don't expect to be fairly compensated for your efforts. Salaries are subpar, and benefits packages are lackluster at best. It's challenging to justify remaining with the company long-term when there are better-paying opportunities elsewhere. Management: Management at SugarShot leaves much to be desired. Leadership is often absent or ineffective, leading to confusion and frustration among staff. Micromanagement is rampant, stifling creativity and innovation. In summary, working for SugarShot is a recipe for professional stagnation and personal frustration. From its toxic culture to its lack of support for employee growth, there are few redeeming qualities to be found. Proceed with caution, and consider your long-term career goals before accepting a position here.
