Pros
Great way to build customer service/communication skills. Helps learn to multi task when getting assigned an 8 hour shift to work alone. Get first hand experience in dealing with difficult customers.
Cons
Long shifts with no additional coverage meant you had to close the store if you had an emergency (e.g. upset stomach). Convenient stores are subject to robberies putting your life at risk of serious injury or death.
