Strategic Micro Systems Response
5yWhile we appreciate reviews, good or bad, reviews like this are often misleading and factually inaccurate. Unfortunately, this review was posted in the midst of COVID-19, a global pandemic.
1. Our pay scale is among THE MOST competitive in the MSP industry. Combined with the benefits that we offer, including work from home, PTO, bonus programs, wellness, 401ks, we are unmatched in the MSP industry.
2. We take our time to hire the best candidates for the positions we recruit for. No one will start at Strategic and hit the ground running with the knowledge and insight compared to someone who has been with us for 6 years. Due to an ego that in hindsight, we must have helped create, this individual struggled with that concept and was not interested in sharing the information with others, forgetting his humble beginnings.
3. Work / life balance is critically important to us at Strategic - and it's why we've developed programs to ensure we are allowing our staff to rest and recharge, whenever they see fit. I don't believe this individual understands what work/life balance truly means. 4 weeks of PTO, work from home time for any reason, regular happy hours, paid company outings, twice weekly massages DURING your shift, ending days early on all major holidays and sometimes on Fridays in summer, I mean the list goes on - how would you rate those perks?
4. Yes, we do place our clients first - we are a business after all - but not without limitation. The inference this reviewer is making is that we do that at the expense of our staff, which couldn't be further from the truth. Our clients are the lifeblood of any business. We are their trusted advisors, and we have a responsibility to service and support them. On another note, we absolutely DO NOT tolerate clients who believe they can berate or demean or otherwise demand unrealistic requests and some clients have been fired for attempting it.
5. We are not understaffed - our volume has grown significantly over the last 12 months, in major part, due to the demands on IT departments around the globe because of the COVID pandemic. We've recognized that growth and have made many inroads to address it, and yes part of it has included additional staffing. It's a shame this individual didn't stick it out to see the results.
We have - and continue to do - everything we can to help any one of the Strategic family, because that's what you become when you join us- part of our family. That has in the past extended to non-standard employee benefits - like paying off high interest, large credit card debt for a staff member who got themselves in over their head, providing extended leaves to individuals who are experiencing personal challenges, providing financial assistance for moves, hiring and paying an attorney to defend a staff member against some mistakes that may have made in their personal lives, bending our rules from time to time on things like PTO and fraternization, and so much more.
Finally - this review is more of a dig rather than an honest review. We had done so much for this individual and it pains us when someone feels so poorly about themselves that they must write a negative review like this.
Unfortunately, Strategic cannot help individuals who have personal issues that are beyond our control and it was best that he did leave us when did. We continue to wish him well and hope that he works on these and realizes what he had while at Strategic - and hopefully looks back fondly in the future.
