Pros
Coworkers, PTO and holidays, if management likes you then you might be treated decently. You will learn a lot and when you get another job you will appreciate how stress free it will seem compared to Storm2. Cool office as well.
Cons
Everything you can possibly think of. You’re sold this lie about how much money you’ll be making but when you do the math the hours you’ll end up having to work just to hit the KPIs they impose means that you’re barely cracking minimum wage on the base. Micromanaging is huge, if you look at your phone or are 5 minutes late be prepared to be pulled into a private meeting. Be prepared to be told one thing by one manager, another by a different one, and then reprimanded by both for not doing what you “should have done” (which means closing a deal and filling their pockets more than yours regardless of how you get there). Zero accountability from up top, according to them if you’re not closing deals it’s because you’re lazy and not working hard enough since they give you perfect training, unlimited resources such as a buggy CRM and a program that sometimes gives you a persons correct number as well as LinkedIn recruiter, and that economic conditions have no effect on any one companies hiring plans. Since your bosses were successful (even though they all came in during the tech boom) it’s always YOUR fault if you’re not. One last thing - you will never be valued for your strengths or as a professional. You won’t even be valued for your accomplishments at the company unless you’re closing deals, you can win associate of the week on a Friday and be fired on Monday (yes this has happened before).
