Pros
Great opportunity to learn a lot and self-manage without micro-management. Full tuition covered for most programs and classes for employees, spouses and children.
Cons
Not enough human resources to support the minimum requirements for the work load that is needed to serve the level of quality and service students and parents expect from a private university. There are certain people in roles that are mediocre at best, but the low pay for positions under Director level prevent the hiring of high-quality employees, which reflects in their work and quality of service to students, faculty and staff. The IT department does not support the faculty and staff and often do not know the answers to the problems and often leave people to deal with the IT issues on their own. Many of them are unreliable and inexperienced, likely as a result of poor upper level leadership intervention and participation, and low pay.
