Pros

Rack up PTO fairly quickly Yearly bonus Friendly coworkers

Cons

Whew Chile........ lets start with Training. From the time you apply , get the job and train and actually start the job on the floor, you’ve seen 3 different State Farm’s. Training is a joke . It’s rushed and they paint this picture like “yeah we promote from within , you have power to do this and that”. Get out of training and you’re literally thrown to the wolves and good luck because management will only be lenient for so long with you not knowing your job. Management. You will be micromanaged. Period. I would say also never show your manager you’re having a bad day either. If you go to your manager to express concerns (could be personal) they will turn that around on you so quick. Don’t trust management. They are only here for themselves. Actually don’t trust anyone. People move like snakes for real. Let hope you get a more Laid back manager and not one that goes by the books and criticizes every little thing you do. This company does not care about employees in express or ILR. This point system for attendance is the most childish thing I’ve ever known. I never got any but it’s because I make an effort to get to work 30 mins early every day. The traffic near the hub in Atlanta is crazy and unpredictable, and they do not care. No other departments have this. I understand before 2017 staff abused the system but this doesn’t leave room for accidents. Lord forbid you have children and are a single parent. Or have a sick child or get sick yourself. I literally watched a co-worker work herself to death. She was always at work , even sick and one day went home and didn’t come back. RIP. We are worked like slaves due to WFM. You can be on phones all day for weeks at a time and that is beyond draining. They stress metrics so much and I’ve realized it doesn’t matter if you’re constantly red or green they will still find a way to criticize. OT is offered far and in between. I hate this job so much I just come to work and do it and go home. Forget the extra stuff. Mediocrity gets rewarded time and time again. You work hard and do the most guess what you get ? A FREAKING GOLD STAR AND A PAT ON YOUR BACK ! I literally can’t do anything with that. There is also favoritism going on too. If you’re not in the “IN crowd” then good luck trying to move up and out and have a decent work experience. I’ve come to the point where I do not care anymore. This department has a revolving door for a reason. Apply at your own risk.

Pros

(At the time) Fair pay and predictable bonus structure They were pretty good at covering travel expenses and paying them back quickly Diverse workforce & diversity initiatives Fun and funny coworkers Opportunities for growth Again, this was all four years ago and has likely changed

Cons

(At the time and now, according to other comments) Arrogant to a fault Total lack of innovation & willingness to innovate Odd attachment to the company's past (which prevents progress) High number of veterans (20+ years) who are determined to get that retirement money, and therefore, are resistant to change and technology Heavy reliance on command and control management style Poor decision-making that leads to losses of all kinds
