Pros
Awesome coworkers, good opportunity for a first job out of college. Good medical benefits with an on-site free clinic.
Cons
Where to begin?! There are so many “C” suite employees for a mid sized company, it’s incredibly top heavy. Middle management blindly follows orders without question of the moral implications for their employees. If you are good at your job, you can expect your work load to double with no increase in your pay. There aren’t opportunities for advancement in the company unless you are a well liked yes man or have dirt on the president or CEO. The amount of allegations of poor treatment, sexual harassment, and less than savory business tactics are enough to make your head spin. The handling of employees that were not in furlough during COVID was abhorrent as they worked double the hours to cover for everyone else that were not there with their actual pay being cut in half. Hundreds of employees with long standing tenure were unceremoniously laid off to “right size” their spending on salary and the number of women and older people laid off was laughably obvious. No diversity, good old boys club, and the guilt trips for asking for raises and opportunities was extremely toxic because the company line was, we are a family here and if you don’t like how we do things we have plenty of doors to the building, you can see yourself out.
