Pros
- Great engineers
- Great teamwork amongst engineers
- Good equipment
- Work/Life balance is great if you don't mind being micromanaged
Cons
- SAs don't do their jobs. They will try to make you work for them while they disappear
- Projects don't have any planning. The SAs expect you to be a psychic and when things go south they love to put the blame on you. If they succeed, it is because of them. If you fail, it is because of you.
- No sense of teamwork. This is not true when it comes down to engineers helping each other. The standard behavior is to put the blame on engineers on all their screw ups.
- The company praises core values, but SAs and lower management don't really follow the core values
- Lower management is clearly unfit to lead
- Lower management micromanages all engineers
- The company uses multiple tools. Each team decides what tools to use, there is no standard and this standard keeps changing
