Pros

- A collection of smart and capable employees find themselves at StackAdapt. Unfortunately, this is also somewhat of a con, because they end up being frustrated due to management practices and if they voice any opinion they are effectively cast away. - Good Tech Stack - They really care about what people say about them and try to protect their reputation, by any means necessary, even if it's shady practices. Any time a review goes up, you can expect some doors to be closed and some meetings to happen.

Cons

- Management twists their employees hands to write positive reviews. It makes one feel dirty as it truly sullies the reason for review sites to exist. - If you are a potential employee, use your discretion to recognize which of these reviews are real and which reviews have been forced. Being asked to write a positive review rather than my actual opinion is questionable at best. - It is as if management watched a comedy about startups and try to emulate it. The startup culture here is not real. It is forced. Closed door policy is the reality, any opinion coming from anyone is looked on with suspicion. - I am not very in tune with the revenue generation model of the company, but I have certainly heard whispers about numbers being doctored to mislead clients. - Beware of "fun" and "perks" if you take advantage you are looked down on as if you are not doing your job.

Thanks for your review. Sorry to hear that you felt forced to leave a review here- that is definitely not my intention when asking for reviews. Encouraging employees to leave reviews is a common practice- we need to take advantage of the opportunity to get the true spirit and voice of our employees represented and most are happy to write a review because it means they will help the company attract great talent and their future co-workers; they have a stake in it, too. I would also suggest that you talk to one of the leaders from the revenue team so that you can understand that model and the way our numbers are generated and transparent to the customers. Our culture and engagement of employees is very important to us, please send me a note and we'll chat offline about how we can make things even better. Happy to chat more in person if you feel comfortable doing so, or to have you take part in our next engagement survey from Fortay if you'd rather not identify yourself— the goal is to track team member engagement so we can take the necessary steps to make sure that employees are happy with their work, team, and company. -Natalia

Pros

Honestly hard to name many at this point. There was a time when StackAdapt had real energy — people seemed to genuinely enjoy the work and each other. That culture has mostly eroded. If you're considering joining, do your research on what the company looks like today, not what it was two or three years ago.

Cons

Leadership quality has declined significantly. Several managers in place have no business being in those roles — they contribute little, take credit for wins, and deflect blame when things go sideways. It creates a demoralizing environment and good people notice. Comp structures have shifted in ways that primarily benefit the top of the org. What used to feel like a fair deal now feels like the goalposts keep moving. On the product side, there's not much that meaningfully differentiates StackAdapt from competitors, and there's a lack of transparency with clients around pricing. It's hard to feel proud of what you're selling.
