Pros
It gets you used to fast paced hospitality jobs The staff there do care and are welcoming and helpful
Cons
The pay is not in line with other hospitality jobs so many people use it as a starter receptionist job and leave after they’ve finished training, causing a constant stream of people coming and going. Because most receptionists are new at all times the level of service they can give isn’t as high as it should be, and they have to rely on management to help out whenever something goes wrong. The hours are long and because of understaffing they often ask you to do overtime Because of understaffing you are working a lot harder then you should be, and the environment is stressful and sometimes chaotic. Get used to being complained at 24/7 as the hotel is starting to show its age.
