Pros

I know what you're thinking reading these reviews, that no company can possibly be this good—but Sprout Social is worth the hype and is unlike any other tech company out there. I've been working at Sprout for four years and have had the opportunity of a lifetime to grow my career and work alongside some of the smartest people in tech. The people at Sprout have cracked the code when it comes to company culture. From day one, you see first-hand how everyone on the team lives out our values. They're embedded in practically everything we do, from 1:1 conversations with your manager, to business meetings, or even proposing a new project idea, everything at Sprout starts and ends with people. No company is perfect, but Sprout doesn't pretend to be. In fact, they embrace their imperfection and strive to do better. Most importantly, they're vocal about that where it matters most. Sprout's leadership team leans into hard conversations, especially around mental health, and went as far as to make a pilot "summer hours" program permanent based on the feedback from our team in how helpful those days off were. Your ideas are truly valued here and they carry weight, even if you're not on the leadership level. The most rewarding part of a job is being able to see your impact, and I'm lucky to say that's something I get to see every single day.

Cons

This is a high-functioning and innovative team that moves incredibly fast. Passion and work ethic are a must, but you may feel like it's hard to keep up.

Our leaders are the backbone of our organization, and investing in their growth and development has been one of our biggest areas of focus this year. It’s wonderful to know these investments can be felt across the organization, and that you feel recognized for the value you bring each day. Thank you for all your contributions to Sprout over the years, and we look forward to what the year ahead has in store! -Maureen

Pros

This is the best company culture, and I think everything else flows from it: the possibility of new projects, the work-life balance, the benefits. Sprout invests in its people, from generous PTO and company-wide R&R Days to meeting-free focus days. The benefits package is pretty comprehensive including medical, vision and dental plans, 16 weeks of paid parental leave for all parents, a 401(k) with company match, ESPP, and real remote work (you receive a stipends for your home office) with joining the whole team in Chicago a couple times a year. On the growth side, feedback is both expected and encouraged, informally and formally. I've been really happy here.

Cons

Compensation does trend below market average for the industry, but personally, the overall benefits package and culture help offset that.

Pros

Remote friendly culture Good work life balance

Cons

Terrible leadership who start resource intensive vanity projects that last longer than they do. Horrible infrastructure that holds back product innovation. Company only seems to want the appearance of being data-driven, but when asked to take real steps to invest in scalable infrastructure and tooling, they balk.
