Pros

I work at the company as a mental health technician. I have learned a lot about mental illness and neurological disorders. The staff is AMAZING. The nurses and techs work great together to try to treat the patients and keep them safe. I always feel like my coworkers have my back no matter what happens on the unit. And even though it is stressful it can be gratifying at times. There are always lots of shifts available so it is easy to rack up overtime. And the benefits are great.

Cons

The problems here start from the top. The big bosses in administration (I won't name anyone) are very cheap. The facility is constantly understaffed which causes the employees to overextend themselves to keep the facility running smoothly. There have been moments when there have been 3 nurses in the whole facility. The charting system is archaic which causes things to get overlooked or missed because they don't want to invest in updating anything. They hardly promote employees and there are little to no incentives. Staff morale is very low and it is clear that the CEO only cares about money and not the well-being of patients or staff. There have even been times where extremely aggressive or inappropriate patients have been accepted while staff was ill equipped only so that beds could be filled. Even when all the beds are full, patients have been put in dayrooms to sleep for the night. All of this really takes a toll on the already stressed employees.

Pros

3 12 hour shifts Good benefits PTO/ sick leave

Cons

poor management, high acuity patients and short staffing. Management consistently plays favorites and lets it be known. Very unprofessional and they pick and choose when to enforce policy - specifically CNO, ADON.
