Pros
Learn to talk with a wide range of different clients, my foundation cuts are top notch now and i took a 35 minute haircut down to 15 in 6 months. Classes are helpful, but not the most effective. Loved my team we had almost no drama and leaving them was the hardest part. Not every store has great chemistry but we definitely did.
Cons
They make the bar to reach commission high enough you have to CONSTANTLY be cutting hair which is exhausting and so 9-7 shifts will wear you down to nothing at the end of the day. We don't make appointments so you commission is entirely based on walkins they expect you to kill it when it's busy so when it's slow they should average out but this effects your numbers and you won't make as much on the commission end, UNLESS you clock off to "save" your numbers but then you lose your hourly so it will hurt your paycheck if you happen to end up in a slower store. Also we would get the next weeks schedule on Thursday or Friday making it impossible to plan for anything.
