Pros
Pros : - Great teammates (while I was employed) - Casual Dress Code - Good for job seekers with a high potential, strong skillset, but not too much experience
Cons
Cons: - No OT pay, but “likes” employees to stay overtime - Claims to not micromanage employees, but in fact manages almost all business operations on a microscopic level - When dealing with conflict against clients, always assumes the employee is at fault (before understanding the case) - Treats employees as tools - Delays payments (internally & externally) *example 1: Had employee take his personal smart device for screen repair, did not repay employee for at least 5 months (Amount was over $1000 HKD) *example 2: Delay commissions due to employees on a regular basis, and often put the blame on the person in charge of doing calculations for late submission for review, even though files were ready for a long time. *example 3: After resigning, delayed the commissions again. Commissions were agreed to be paid with a 2 month buffer for calculations and reconciliation purposes, thus, after resigning, there were 3 months of commissions due: Batch 1) To be paid with final month salary Batch 2) To be paid 1 month after resignation Batch 3) To be paid 2 months after resignation Batch 1 commissions were delayed for 1 full month and were paid 1 month after resignation. Batch 2 commissions were delayed for 1 week, and were only paid due to vigorous chasing, accompanied with a threatening all CAPS email. Batch 3 commissions were delayed for 1 month, and were only paid due to vigorous chasing. *example 4: Openly tells staff to never pay vendors on time, and “educates” them that is the correct way to run a business successfully - Empty promises, promised to cut a share of equity when a great opportunity was provided to me, “lured” me into turning down the great offer, and never spoke of the topic again - Forgetful (to the extent nobody can imagine) *example 1: Told me as tardiness was a weakness, I can make up for the time i missed by taking overtime or taking a shorter lunch break. Within two weeks, snaps as me for being not on time, and starts strictly enforcing me to arrive sharp at 9:00am} *example 2: After turning down offer and taking on CEO’s counter offer to stay, made it sound like I asked him for a raise and a better package. - Unreasonable *example 1: Asks to find the best value for the money laptop device, which everyone knows can only be done by cash
