Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m glad to hear that there are aspects of life at Sovos that you enjoy. I’d like to address some of the negatives you listed.
Sovos is a highly matrixed, rapidly growing, global organization. To ensure we remain effective as we grow, we have made substantial investments in both the technology and human capital necessary to establish global best practices that scale and facilitate cross-functional collaboration. We are evolving, and as we do we appreciate receiving insight from our employees. If you have specific ideas on areas of improvement, please reach out to local leadership. They will be glad to hear from you.
The lack of in-person activities during the pandemic has been challenging, and many people from within and outside of our organization echo your sentiments. However, the health and wellbeing of our employees takes precedent over social events. We are, like you, anxious to host in-person activities as soon as it is safe to do so.
Finally, I want to address your concerns about our DEI initiatives. DEI is change management and change takes time. As an organization, we are committed to a culture where diversity is appreciated, all are included, and our practices and policies are equitable for all our employees. DEI at Sovos is a journey, not a destination. We will continue to identify opportunities and act to be the change we want to see. I invite you to reach out to me to for more information about our DEI progress and plans, in addition to discussing how you can participate in our continuing evolution.
Our mission to Solve Tax for Good requires the combined experience, skills, and unique perspectives of every one of our employees, so for us it is mission-critical that everyone feels able to bring their full self to work. To that end, Sovos is putting very real resources into ensuring ours is a culture that is inclusive of everyone.
We appreciate you, and thank you once again for your feedback – Nina
