Pros
+ Coworkers are hands down the best part. Everyone is friendly, willing to answer questions, and always down for a game of ping pong. + Snacks, drinks, and the occasional beer or margarita cart. + While they're not a 'work from home' company, managers and supervisors are flexible when it comes from the occasional remote work day.
Cons
- Culture has dwindled drastically since I began. - Several executives and senior leadership have left since we became Sovos, which doesn't seem like a great sign of how things are going. - The CLOUD rotation program that they push is a great way for them to take advantage of an employee that is eager to learn a new aspect of the business by allowing them to take on the extra work of the department rather than hiring someone on full time, and ends with little retribution for the employee that completes the CLOUD rotation. - The SovosYOU "benefits" they preach are pretty unattainable. - Praise is highly placed on the sales teams, almost never on operations teams which generate a large percentage of recurring sales. - Hire inexperienced supervisors which in turn causes their direct reports to suffer. - Little to no upward movement for those on the operations side of the business. - The Minnetonka office space itself is in poor condition.
