Pros

• A very friendly and collegial remote team - a row-together kind of an attitude • HQ team very responsive and transparent • A lot of flexibility to set your own schedule • Interesting look under the hood if you're interested in programming/technical/recruiting jobs • Culture of curiosity - a lot of world-travelers and as well as age diversity among contractors (ie. not everyone is between 25-34 and went to the same ten colleges) and there's an open culture of sharing interests with others and really helping others out.

Cons

• The usual volatility that comes with startups. If you've never worked at one before, Sourceress will be a great introduction. As often as priorities shift, things can be MUCH worse. That said, priorities shift, key structures change, and it's very much a house that's being lived in as it's being built. • Startup pay - what you gain in flexibility and self-direction you lose in the pay a more traditional copywriting/data entry/HR position might offer.

Pros

-Flexible work hours -Remote -Compelling product -Strong leadership -Great culture I have been at Sourceress for over a year and I cannot say praise the leadership and my colleagues enough for making this an excellent place to work! I have made strong friendships here and while yes, there can be pressure at times because it IS a start-up after all, the overall attitude here is friendly and fun! That is not to say that poor work is tolerated, one of the reasons I love it here is because everyone is smart, dedicated, and passionate about what the company is trying to do. If you're not the type of person who is always trying to improve and make an impact, it might not be for you. But if you're someone who thrives when given ownership and accountability knowing that it's OK to fail as long as you get back up, then you will love it here! I read a previous review that said management was "closed off" and "non-responsive." I've found that to be the exact opposite of my experience. Leadership is available and actively responds to messages, concerns, etc. Plus we often do "AMA" with leaders as another way to ask questions and voice thoughts.

Cons

Nothing I can think of.
