Pros
Training was done pretty well by a knowledgeable trainer; they had free coffee
Cons
Pretty shady business practice; aside from the technical training, we were pretty much trained how to lie to clients. Fake resumes were shared with clients containing falsified past job experiences and projects. People were prepped to pass client interviews in an almost scripted way, which is crazy, because the training is actually quite good, and I felt that coming out of the training, consultants are prepared well enough to work as junior or mid level software consultants for their clients. Instead, seemingly all consultants are falsely marketed as seniors and are prepped to "trick" clients that they are seniors, presumably so Sourcemantra gets the placement fee of a larger base salary. Regarding salary, you don't get paid until you get placed at one of their clients (though they did give you a small gas stipend for travelling to their office), and if you decide that the whole process is just too ridiculous and want to leave, they will threaten you with fees and legal action. The whole operation is honestly unbelievable.
